Who must attend training to use Ideate/InfoEd?xInstitution policy is that you must attend a class on using Ideate or InfoEd before Research IT Department is allowed to grant you access. As an alternative, you can designate an experienced user in your department to be your delegate in InfoEd. This person will have access to all of your proposals in InfoEd. They will do that actual work for you in InfoEd. Research IT will support your delegate, but cannot support you directly until you have come to class to learn the software. If you choose that option, when you ask for access, you must indicate who your delegate will be. Either way we can grant you access: if you come to class, or, designate a person who will do the work for you in InfoEd.
For those who will take the class, the schedule of classes is here: http://osticket.mssm.edu/support/pages/infoed-and-ideate-schedule-of-classes-and-open-help
For PIs who will not take the class, but who have delegates support them in InfoEd, fill out an InfoEd New User Request here: http://osticket.mssm.edu/support/open.php
If you choose to forego training and have a delegate do your work in InfoEd, please remember, Research IT will support your delegate, but cannot support you directly until you have come to class to learn the software. If you are working against a deadline and need help with the system, you will need to depend upon your delegate to be available to support you.
